Meet Noumea, who wants to build a career where she can make a difference every day.

Every afternoon after the final school bell, Noumea swaps her uniform for scrubs at our Bupa Croydon care home.

The 17-year-old is already making a big impact through Bupa’s Trainee Program, with residents waiting for her arrival.

I’ve always loved helping people and wanted to do something meaningful,” she says.

The best part is connecting with residents even if it's just sitting and chatting can brighten their day. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people who care for us as much as we care for them.”

After graduating from high school, she hopes to keep learning and building a career where she can make a real difference every day.

Meet Amber, who is now supporting new trainees coming through Bupa’s Trainee Program.

Amber’s nana is her inspiration and a driving motivation for joining our aged care team.

She has moved to a full-time role at Bupa Croydon after starting in Bupa’s Trainee Program and has not looked back.

I give to my job what I would give to my nana,” she says.

Working alongside residents and senior carers gave me the experience and confidence I needed.”

What I love most is making a difference every day, whether it’s a smile, a chat, or supporting someone who needs it. The connections feel like family.”

Amber now supports new trainees coming through the program.

There will be tough days, but everything you do matters. You’re helping someone feel safe, valued, and cared for,” she says.
