Planning for the future of aged care in Morphettville

Bupa Morphettville renewal

Bupa Morphettville aged care has been part of the local community for many decades, providing residential aged care and respite support to older Australians and their families close to home.

Whilst the current buildings have served the community well, we want to refresh and modernise our home to ensure that it will continue to meet the needs of the local community well into the future. We are pleased to be investing in the community and supporting the growing needs of older Australians and are progressing plans to renew our home in Morphettville.

Our Vision for Morphettville

Our vision is to create a contemporary home where older Australians can continue to live with comfort, dignity and care in the area they know and love — close to family, friends and community.

What we are proposing

The home is proposed to be built over 5 levels and will provide:

  • 143 aged care rooms (increasing capacity from 84 today)

  • 16 new independent living units, thoughtfully designed with natural light

  • 77 carparks (increasing capacity from 67 today)

Designed for the local community

The proposed renewal has been thoughtfully designed to create a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors and team members.

Landscaping and site planning have also been carefully considered so the home fits respectfully within the surrounding neighbourhood.

An Investment in Morphettville

The renewal of Bupa Morphettville will help improve access to much-needed residential aged care locally, as well as offering 16 new independent living units – so more older Australians can stay close to their family, friends and community. It is an investment in the future of Morphettville and in the care of older Australians in the local area.

Importantly, while our renewal is taking place, our home will continue to operate, enabling us to carry on providing high quality care which meets the needs of our residents, their families and our local community.
