Planning for the future of aged care in Croydon
Bupa Croydon renewal
Bupa Croydon aged care has been a fixture of the local community, providing residential aged care and respite support to older Australians and their families close to home. Our current buildings have served the community well, but to ensure that we will continue to meet the needs of the local community well into the future, we want to refresh and modernise our home. We are pleased to be investing in the community and supporting the evolving needs of older Australians and are progressing plans to renew our home in Croydon.
Our Vision for Bupa Croydon
A revitalised home for residents, families and the community
Our vision is to create a contemporary home where older Australians can continue to live with comfort, dignity and care in the area they know and love — close to family, friends and community.
What we are proposing
The home is proposed to be built over 4 levels plus a basement, delivering 92 new aged care rooms and the refurbishment of 35 existing rooms, bringing the total number of aged care rooms to 127.

Designed for the local community
The proposed renewal has been thoughtfully designed to create a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors and team members. Landscaping and site planning have also been carefully considered so the home fits respectfully within the surrounding neighbourhood.
An Investment in Croydon
The renewal of Bupa Croydon will help improve access to much-needed residential aged care locally – so more older Australians can stay close to their family, friends and community. It is an investment in the future of Croydon and in the care of older Australians in the local area.
While our renewal is taking place, our home will continue to operate, enabling us to carry on providing excellent care which meets the needs of our residents, their families and our local community.
Importantly, we will take care to consult and keep our residents and their families up to date on the development and aim to minimise any disruptions to the operations of the home.
