At Bupa Pottsville Beach, we enjoy close links with the community and visitors bring many events to the home. We arrange regular outings into the local area, so you can enjoy visiting the beach and art galleries, scenic drives around the Hinterland, and mystery Bupa bus tours to secret locations, which are a favourite amongst our residents!
As well as taking trips outside the care home, we appreciate the support of local volunteers from schools and church groups who visit the home. They often organise activities and fun or if you prefer a quieter time, they enjoy a relaxed chat over a cup of tea.
Moving into a care home is a big decision and it’s important to make sure you choose the payment option that suits you best. Your costs may vary according to your financial situation and we advise you to seek independent financial advice before entering an aged care home to help you choose the right payment option for you.
To help ensure that care is affordable for everyone, the Australian Government calculates and regulates maximum daily fees and enforces limits as to how much you can be asked to pay for accommodation.
Your fees for aged care cover both the care you receive and your accommodation, and sometimes, extra services.
Your care fees cover daily living costs such as nursing care, housekeeping and meals. They are paid, in part, by all residents and are determined by the Department of Social Services.
For residents entering care after July 1 2014, you can choose from three simple ways to pay for your accommodation.
These options allow for more flexibility on how you pay for accommodation and are designed to be fairer for everyone.
You can visit the web page of your chosen care home on the Bupa Aged Care website and click on the “Accommodation” tab.
Some aged care homes offer a higher standard of accommodation, food and service in return for a daily fee. Whether you are in an Extra Service home or not, the quality of your care remains the same.
For people who need regular assistance with most daily activities
For people who need accommodation services such as laundry, room cleaning and additional help with personal care.
Offers residents a higher standard of accommodation, services, food and recreational activities.
