The program is designed to empower and recognise commitment, innovation and creativity in our employees. They do the things which matter most to our residents, every day.
The impact of our employees’ commitments contributes directly to our residents’ quality of life. This is our way of working – putting the person at the centre of everything we do. This means valuing and knowing each person well. Also understanding their experience, anticipating their needs and supporting them to achieve what is meaningful and important to them. This takes empathy, imagination, skill and patience but makes the role of our employees exciting, creative and immensely rewarding.
Employees in our annual engagement survey strongly agreed that“Personal Best enables me to put the customer at the centre of everything that I do”. This was undertaken in 2009, 2010 and 2011, with an 80 percent employee feedback
The reward for our people is our ‘Legends’ awards where we celebrate their successes in improving the lives of our residents. In 2011, 500 employees were invited to evening galas that were held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. More than $80,000 worth of prizes were awarded!
