Bupa’s reputation is built on its people so we are keen to encourage excellence and reward our very best. Bupa Legends is a staff incentive program whereby employees are recognised and rewarded for dedication to care.
All employees are invited to make Personal Best (PB) Commitments. A PB is a pledge to go beyond basic care, and to deliver an outcome that will enhance a resident’s enjoyment of life. The program encourages our staff to challenge established practice and provide care in ways that best meet our residents individual needs and preferences. PB commitments may be as simple as helping a resident to pursue a favourite hobby or pastime to giving your own time to take a group of resident/s on an excursion.
Staff who successfully fulfil their PB commitments become Bupa Legends and enter an annual draw to win generous travel prizes. Bupa Legends receive special privileges and are valuable mentors within our homes. Since its launch in 2009 the program has been enthusiastically received with 40 percent of Bupa staff now proud to be called Bupa Legends.
The 2010 Night for Legends saw all our Legends gather together across four locations linked by satellite to celebrate their Personal Best achievements. Before dancing the night away the winners of the annual Holiday of a Lifetime were drawn and presented with prizes of up to $7500 of travel vouchers.
